THE CALL TO BECOME A DISCIPLE OF CHRIST [2]
INTRODUCTION
We learn from the life of "EZRA" (Ezra 7:10). In a time when knowledge was highly valued, Ezra chose to live as a student, in obedience to God. God's Word is not just to be studied, but also lived.
He chose a life shaped by the Word, not simply filled with it.
CONTENT
1. LEARNING WITHOUT OBEDIENCE IS THE VIRUS OF THE END TIMES
Paul does not accuse the people of the end times of being stupid—on the contrary: they are diligent in their learning. But learning without repentance only leads to spiritual pride. Ezra is teaching that the truth is not about how much we know, but about how much we obey.
2. THE TRUTH ALWAYS REQUIRES A LIFE CHANGE
Ezra didn't just stop at understanding. He allowed the Word to correct him, to break down his ego, and to shape up his life.
The Word that does not change one's behavior is merely a spiritual information, not the saving truth.
3. GOING AGAINST THE CURRENTS STARTS WITH SPIRITUAL DISCIPLINE
In an age dominated by instant gratification and superficiality, Ezra was determined. He went against the flow with perseverance, seriousness, and faithfulness to the Word.
Spiritual maturity comes through consistent, silent decisions.
4. FAITH IN THE END TIME MUST BE DEMONSTRATED IN THE REAL LIFE
Ezra has proven that true faith always leaves traces: in character, decisions, and obedience.
In the end time, the most powerful witness is not a loud voice, but an obedient life.
CONCLUSION
Obeying God's Word will keep faith alive in a dead era.
