BE FERVENT IN SPIRIT
INTRODUCTION
“The spirit of a man will sustain him in sickness, but who can bear a broken spirit?”
The spirit on fire - generally easily seen in a someone who has just been born again. He/she is always enthusiastic about life every day, especially in all things that have to do with God, the church, and ministry.
Every believer must always keep God in mind and trust Him in life, so that no matter how difficult the problem or how great the blessing is, his/her spirit will not be quenched, and he/she will forget God (Romans 12:11).
CONTENT
There are three things we must keep in mind, so that we may continue to follow God faithfully:
1. Remain diligent (Proverbs 21:5).
Being diligent means that you do something with discipline, consistency and responsibility, even if no one sees it and no one likes doing it.
Don't give up too easily and do not stop when you are facing problems.
Everyone should be diligent in working and worshipping, because it brings goodness, invites God's blessings into our lives, shapes our inner man, develops noble character, and makes us people who are ready for promotion.
2. Let your spirit remain fervent.
The fire of the Holy Spirit is a source of strength and encouragement for believers.
Do involve the Holy Spirit in your life always and make it a habit to always speak in tongues (1 Corinthians 14:2a,4a).
Follow His instructions so that we can complete the race of life and reach the finish line by keeping the faith in Jesus, so that each of us may receive the crown of righteousness which the Lord has set apart for us.
3. Continue to maintain your ministry.
Whatever happens to you in life, good or bad, never stop serving God (1 Corinthians 15:58).
Never change the purpose of life that God has in mind, namely, that each of us is called to serve Him and do His work in this world (Ephesians 2:10, 1 Peter 2:9-10).
CONCLUSION
Not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the LORD.
