THE LORD JESUS CAME INTO THE WORLD TO RA ISE UP DISCIPLES FOR HIM

INTRODUCTION

The Lord Jesus took the decisive initiative to look for, train, and empower people to become His followers. His goal was the transformation of followers into true disciples, whose lives reflected God's vision and mission, not just church membership or mere believers.

CONTENT

1.      The initiative of Jesus

It was Jesus who came to look for, as God was seeking for Adam and Eve; He did not wait for people to come to Him (Genesis 3:9, Luke 19:10).

2.      Formation process

Jesus not only called His disciples, but also formed them in a dynamic way (for example, by turning fishermen into “fishers of men”), and taught them by being an example and the Word (Luke 5:9-11).

3.      Focusing on the mission

The primary mission is to “make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19-20), meaning there is a call to go out (expansion) and to go inward (deep transformation) (1 Peter 2:9-10).

4.      The Standard of the Kingdom of God

Being a disciple means serving others, not seeking worldly fame (Matthew 22:37-39).

5.      The power of the Holy Spirit

It is the Holy Spirit who enables us to believe, see His resurrection, and continue His mission, transforming us into extraordinary beings who glorify God (John 14:12,26).

CONCLUSION

Ask yourself: "Am I just following the crowd, or do I truly want to be formed into a disciple who actively serves and helps others?"

Trust that Jesus will give us strength.
