TAKE A STEP FORWARD (2)

INTRODUCTION

Taking a step forward is something we constantly do in our daily lives. Wherever we go—to work, school, or university—we inevitably walk from one place to another.

Content

We will learn from God’s Word (Psalm 37:23-24).
  1. The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD.
    • Why did the sheep go lost? It turns out it made a mistake by straying from the path and wandering away from the flock, as the shepherd had instructed.
    • To be pleasing to God means that we remain on His path and guard our lives as we go about our daily activities.
    • For the key to achieving a certain goal is, to keep taking the steps.
  2. And He delights in his way.
    • There is an illustration in the Bible about the lost sheep (Matthew 18:12-14). Why did the sheep get lost? It turned out that it had strayed from the direction of the shepherd and the flock. It was the sheep's own fault.
    • Be willing means continuing to walk on God’s path. It means watching over our lives as we take steps and undertake activities.
    • When we enjoy God's favor, we will certainly choose to walk the right path.
  3. Though he falls, he shall not be utterly cast down.
    • Any of us can fall or fail, but God's word says that we will not fall, because His hand is supporting us.
    • God’s hand is always there to support us. Do not fall into the trap of succumbing to a fall, for God’s purpose is to uphold us so that we can move forward (Proverbs 24:16). If we have made a mistake, let us not make it again.
    • If we ever fail, let us get back up and not remain stuck in the trap.
    • If we fall into sin, we must get up and not fall into the same sin again.

CONCLUSION

Let us be led by the LORD and focus on the LORD's plan or vision.
