THE MULTIPLICATION AS EXPERIENCED BY ABRAHAM

INTRODUCTION

I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing." (Genesis 12:2).

Multiplication is not simply adding, but a supernatural multiplication that comes from God. The story of Abraham shows how God transformed an ordinary man into the father of many nations.

CONTENT

1.     Obedience leads to multiplication

  • God's command: Abraham was asked to leave his land and comfort (Genesis 12:1). Multiplication often starts at zero or by means of a sacrifice.

  • Before God multiplies our possessions, He tests our obedience to let go of what we hold onto. Obey God's guidance/ Word, even when the future is uncertain.

2.     God's promises will certainly come true

  • When this promise was made, Abraham was childless and already advanced in years.

  • The multiplication of God's Kingdom does not depend on human logic or our physical circumstances, but on the sovereignty of His word.

Therefore, do not limit God's multiplying power by looking at your own limitations.

3.     Blessed to be a blessing

  • GOD'S purpose: "...and you will be a blessing."

God does not multiply His blessings to stop at our own barns.

  • We are positioned as pipelines, not as containers (water tanks). The more that flows, the greater the stream of multiplication that God entrusts to us.
