BECOMING A VICTORIOUS DISCIPLE
INTRODUCTION
True victory does not mean that you have no problems, but that you live in absolute victory thanks to the certainty of Jesus' presence, the power of the Holy Spirit, and His word that enables us to be "more than conquerors."
CONTENT
- The foundation of victory lies in Christ’s presence and power The victory of a disciple does not originate from his own strength, but because Jesus has overcome the world.
- Promise of peace and prosperity Jesus said: "In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33).
- God with us (Immanuel) God does not leave us struggling by ourselves. Through His grace, He makes us more than conquerors (Romans 8:37).
- The character of a successful/victorious student To lead a life of victory, a disciple of Jesus must have a strong spiritual foundation:
- Obedience and a gentle heart True restoration and victory begin with a change of heart attitude. Obedience to God's Word is the key to a breakthrough.
- Be watchful and pray Jesus taught his disciples to always pray so that they might not fall into temptation and face the challenges of life.
- Perseverance To complete the race of faith and reach the victorious finish line, perseverance is needed (Colossians 1:23, James 5:11).
CONCLUSION
Be a conqueror, so that we can be a blessing to many.
