OBEDIENCE TURNS ONE INTO AN EXELENT
INTRODUCTION
One man can make the difference.
“Thus, Noah did; according to all that God commanded him, so he did.” (Genesis 6:22).
Logically, it is impossible for man to build a gigantic ark without technology, without modern tools, and without prior maritime experience.
CONTENT
1. Noah didn't just walk with his logic.
He walked in obedience, did not negotiate God's commandments, did not postpone God's vision, and did not reduce the details of God's instructions.
Noah was not great because of his talents, but he is remembered for his obedience.
Obedience enabled Noah to be the instrument of generational salvation and changed the history of mankind.
Divine vision is always greater than human means. God, however, does not seek the capable, but He enables the obedient.
2. Many people wait until they feel capable before they obey
The Kingdom of God actually works the other way around:
Obey first, then we will be enabled. If we only move when we think we are ready, we may never fulfil God's vision.
Disobedience is often wrapped in excuses:
“I am not capable of doing it yet”, “I am not ready for it yet”, “I do not have the means yet”.
For example, when Moses was first called by God (Exodus 4:1-13).
CONCLUSION
If God gives you a vision, obey it. If God gives a command, carry it out. If God opens a way, take a step. Do not wait until we are able to obey, but obey, and the power/ability will follow.
