THE JOY IN REVIVAL

INTRODUCTION

True joy is not coming from the world, but from God through the Holy Spirit. That joy should lead to renewed enthusiasm and growth in faith.

CONTENT

1.      Joy that comes from God.

  • Not just some emotion (Acts 2:14-16):

Joy in the Bible is more than a short-lived feeling of happiness; it is a feeling of happiness and hope that is independent of circumstances.

  • The Fruit of the Holy Spirit (Romans 14:17):

Joy is one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit, planted in the hearts of believers and experienced in every situation.

  • A source of strength and protection (Nehemiah 8:10b):

This joy is protection from the devil's deceit, providing tranquillity and peace in the midst of life's storms, and strengthening the heart and mind in the face of problems.

2.      The Importance of Revival in Joy.

  • Awareness of God:

Spiritual awakening/revival brings us a new awareness of God's presence and power, which brings new joy into our lives.

  • A Renewed Passion to serve (Acts 4:31):

The realization of God during revival will bring a renewed passion for loving and serving God, as well as a growing desire for lost souls.

CONCLUSION

Experience God's joy at all times by walking with the Holy Spirit and focusing on God's Word.
