GOD WANTS TO LEAD US

INTRODUCTION

Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, The Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you by the way you should go.(Isaiah 48:17).

1.      We truly need God's guidance and direction in this life.

The psalmist says “Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,

Nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night.” (Psalms 1:1-2).

The Bible contains guidance and instruction from God.

The more we study God's Word and meditate on it day and night, the better we will understand God's will and the steps we need to take to ensure our life's journey is always prosperous and rewarding.

We need the Holy Spirit to guide us, so that we can walk in the truth of God's Word (John 16:13).

2.      God gives examples from the lives of four little animals (Proverbs 30:24-28):

  • The Ants, even though being the smallest and weakest creatures, are industrious, tenacious, and agile (Proverbs 10:4, 12:24).

Moreover, ants have a strong sense of empathy, they support each other, and they work together. This is what God desires (Galatians 6:2).

  • The locusts, through their cooperation and perseverance, can quickly destroy the crops in the field (Hebrews 10:24).

There are still Christians who, instead of supporting and working together, elbowing each other, stepping on each other's heads, attacking and discrediting each other.

  • The rock badger is a weak animal, but is capable of building a home on a rocky hill, so that it is safe and secure when the storm strikes (1 Peter 2:6-8).

Jesus is the Rock of our salvation. We must entrust our lives completely to Him.

Therefore, whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock.”  (Matthew 7:24)

  • The lizard, which you can catch with your hands, but which also lives in royal palaces. This means you shouldn't think that you are weak or unimportant. In fact, God can actually use or promote us (Judges 6:14-16).

Here are some life examples we can learn from.

CONCLUSION

Our abilities are limited, but the Holy Spirit will help us.
