FMC'S 30TH ANNIVERSARY
INTRODUCTION
“Come and see the God's work”. Acts 2:47
CONTENT
I. Expressions of Gratitude and Admiration
We reflect on and give thanks for all the blessings, guidance, and presence of God over the past 30 years.
We can see God's extraordinary work in the journey of this Church.
II. THE POWER THAT GROWS (Acts 2:41-47).
1. The power that grew the early church began with the Holy Spirit touching every heart.
Many people believed and were baptised.
There was quantitative growth from 12 disciples to 120 people, and then another 3,000 people were added.
2. It was also the Holy Spirit who united and built up the church.
The early church grew not only in quantity but also in quality. They carried out the three callings of the Church:
a. Witnessing
This was done through the work of the apostles.
The early church also witnessed through their way of life.
b. Persevering in fellowship
To grow, we learn at FMC using the Basics of a Believer: devotional life, church life, cell life, connection, and obedience.
Persevering means being diligent, active, sincere, and disciplined. It is not something that is done only when there is time, nor is it something that comes and goes (Acts 2:42).
c. The early church carried out their calling to diakonia/service (Acts 2:42) ‘…and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers…’
Everyone is generous, likes to share and is not selfish.
CONCLUSION
We will continue to grow through discipleship. That is our theme for 2026: "MAKING A DISCIPLE."
