THE CHURCH REVIVES SPIRITUAL REVIVAL

Even though revival is a gift from God, our active participation as His Church is essential to make this process a reality in our daily lives.

The following steps illustrate how individuals and CHURCHES can pursue revival:

A. Persiapan Pribadi

1. Check your heart / heart condition

Self-reflection is important, along with confession of sins: “Search me, O God…” (Psalms 139:23-24).

This process of examining the heart is very important because it helps people become aware of the darker aspects of their lives that they may have overlooked.
In this way, the process encourages everyone to repent and improve their relationship with God and others.

2. Renew your devotion to the LORD

Revival begins when we fully surrender to God's will.
Romans 12:1-2 also reminds us not to be conformed to this world, but to allow ourselves to be transformed by the renewing of our minds.
When a person truly surrenders to Him, he will open the door for the power of the Holy Spirit to actively work in his life.

B. Building up Prayer and Worship

Prayer is the breath of life for believers (Luke 18:1).
In this way, we communicate with God and come closer to Him.
Gathering together to pray is very important. When we pray together, our focus on God's holiness and glory becomes stronger, as stated in Acts 4:31.

C. Communicating and applying God's Word

Biblical teachings and their application are essential for spiritual awakening/Revival.
Peter's sermon on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2) was a historic moment for the early church and demonstrates the powerful influence of Peter's message.
