OUT OF OUR COMFORT ZONE (3)

INTRODUCTION 

Beware of the Comfort Zone. As soon as people are in a safe zone and feel comfortable, they tend to forget who is the Person behind it all, the Giver and the Owner of everything. 

CONTENT 

A lesson from King David’s life (2 Samuel 11:1-2
Be careful with comfort: 

1. It weakens struggle
Because David did not go to war and stayed alone in his palace, there he lost his vigilance.  

2. eliminates integrity
David committed a fatal sin when he was well established and being in a comfort zone. When he was miserable, he relied more on God in all the problems he was facing (1 Samuel 17:37, 1 Chronicles 14:9-10). 

CONCLUSION 

Perhaps our life is now comfortable, safe, peaceful, everything is fulfilled, we feel that God is with us. But it is okay to remain alert, to be on our guard and stay close to Him. Do not wait until something bad happens to realise that something is wrong (1 Thessalonians 5:3
