HOW TO PRAY AND FAST
- The fasting periods will be held on:
- Monday 26 to Wednesday 28 October 2026
- Monday 2 to Wednesday 4 November 2026
- The FMC congregation is asked to join together in a chain of prayer within each team/section for three days.
- Take at least five minutes each day to pray, truly seek God, and give thanks.
- Avoid leisure activities such as TV entertainment programmes, internet browsing, games, going to the cinema, and so on.
- You are kindly asked to join the Digital Prayer Room at the scheduled times and attend Fresh Anointing in person on the first Thursday of the month.
- If your doctor advises you not to fast for medical reasons, or if you begin to feel unwell, tremble, or experience similar symptoms during the fast, please stop fasting. You may continue praying.
- You may choose how long you wish to fast. A complete fast (no food or drink) may end at:
- 12:00 noon
- 4:00 p.m.
- 6:00 p.m.
- What matters is that you set aside time to pray and reflect on God’s Word during the fasting period you have chosen.
FASTING THAT IS PLEASING TO GOD
- It does not make us superior; instead, it diminishes our own ego so that the Holy Spirit can work in our lives.
- It is not about how high our spiritual level is, but about how humble our hearts are before God.
- It is not only about keeping quiet and meditating, but also about making room to fight and confront evil powers—not simply accepting the “status quo,” but breaking through it in order to make progress.
