THE POWER THAT GIVES LIFE - “THE HOLY SPIRIT WHO HEALS” [2]

INTRODUCTION

Let us continue from Ezekiel 47:9; the Holy Spirit is the person of God, who is truly present to bring about complete healing.

CONTENT

  1. The Holy Spirit is the Healer (Isaiah 61:1-3)
    1. Healing inner wounds and traumas
    2. The greatest healing people often need comes from within. Psalm 147:3 confirm that He heals broken hearts and bandage their wounds.
    3. The Holy Spirit acts as Comforter (Paraclete)
    4. He is the one who softens the bitterness of life, disappointment, and rejection. His power replaces pain with a peace that surpasses all understanding.
  2. The key to experiencing healing by the Holy Spirit
    1. Getting closer
    2. Come to God with an open heart and surrender fully, and do not rely only on your own strength (Mark 5:26-28, the woman who was healed of the bleeding)
    3. Have faith / trust
      • Believe that with God nothing is impossible.
      • Focus on God's power, not on the magnitude of our problems or illnesses (Luke 7:6-11, an officer whose servant is seriously ill and dying).
    4. Pray and praise the Lord
      • Take time for prayer and thanksgiving.
      • Often, when we praise the Lord in the midst of struggle, the presence of the Holy Spirit works to restore the situation (Acts 16:25-26, when Paul and Silas were in prison).

CONCLUSION

Go inside and experience the powerful flow of the Holy Spirit (Ezekiel 47:3-5).
