MAXIMIZING (3)
INTRODUCTION
Developing competence from a Christian perspective is not merely a matter of personal ambition, but a calling of faith to manage the talents God has entrusted to us responsibly (Matthew 25:14–30).
Leadership Principle: “A person ceases to lead when they cease to learn”. Spiritual and professional growth must go hand in hand (Proverbs 1:7).
CONTENTS
Practical steps for self-development that please the Lord involve several stages:
Expanding one’s horizons and knowledge (Psalm 111:10).
Making God’s Word a source of wisdom, whilst remaining eager to learn new and positive things.
Building a healthy self-image (Job 7:17–18).
Realising that we are precious in God’s eyes, so that we dare to step out of feelings of low self-esteem.
We are beautiful pearls. It is said that we are more precious than Heaven.
Conquering the mind (2 Kings 6:15–17)
Sifting out negative words and thoughts, then aligning them with the truth of Christ.
For the glory of God.
Our developing potential must be a blessing to the Church of God, to our fellow human beings, and to the expansion of the Kingdom of God.
CONCLUSION
Continue to maximize your potential.
