GOD IS VISITING HIS PEOPLE
INTRODUCTION
God Visited Nain (Luke 7:11-17). Essentially, this is good news, that God truly cares for His people and visits them, especially those who are suffering, transforming sorrow into a testimony of glory.
CONTENT
1. The compassion of Jesus
Jesus saw the grieving widow as her son was carried to the grave, and His heart was moved with compassion.
This compassion is not merely sympathy, but a compulsion to action, through which He shows that He understands our suffering and despair.
2. Power over death and life
Jesus not only comforted but also gave life. He touched the bier and said, "Young man, I say to you, arise!"
This demonstrates Jesus' divine power to breathe life and confirms his divinity as the Messiah.
3. Restoring Hope to the Hopeless
For the widow, her son's death meant utter devastation, loneliness, and poverty. Jesus restored everything, even more than she could ever have imagined.
This miracle is a promise that God will visit and restore those who feel neglected or have lost hope.
4. The crowd's reaction
The people were amazed and glorified God, saying, "A great prophet has appeared among us" and "God has visited his people."
We, too, are called to visit (and help) others who suffer, with compassion and concrete action, thus bringing Christ, the source of hope and life.
CONCLUSION
Continue to desire God's visitation and allow God to use our lives in the end times.
