REVIVAL BRINGS US TO KNOW THE HEART OF THE FATHER IN HEAVEN
INTRODUCTION
Another word used in the Bible to express the word Father is Abba, which means "father" or "daddy." Abba signifies God's closeness to us. God's visitation, or REVIVAL, leads us to know and understand His person/personality.
CONTENT
God is a caring Father
Nothing and no one can stop God from loving you. God is a Father who loves you more than anyone or anything else (Isaiah 49:15, Romans 8:38-39, 1 Peter 5:7).
A consistent Father
God doesn't break his promises (Malachi 3:6, 2 Timothy 2:13, Romans 11:29, Psalms 59:10).
A Father who is close to us
Here are the verses that express these characteristics (Hebrews 13:5, Psalms 27:10, Matthew 7:11).
A Sympathetic Father
God is a Father who cares for our pain (Psalms 34:19, Psalms 46:1).
A Competent Father
Three verses give evidence of this characteristic (Luke 1:37, Ephesians 3:20, 1 Corinthians 2:9).
CONCLUSION
When WE put our hope and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, God becomes a caring, consistent, close, sympathetic, and competent Father. Thus, you and I can pray with confidence as Jesus taught: "Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Your name."
