The word CHRISTMAS originally comes from those words Christes Maesse, this Old English phrase means "Mass of Christ". In Indonesian language it is translated as "Christians come together at the sermon of thanksgiving in commemoration of Christ's birth on Earth". Therefore, the very essence of Christmas is Christ Himself. Let us read Luke 1:26-38, 2:4-11.

We will see some truths found in Luke 1:34-37 at today's Christmas Celebration.

1. Christmas reminds us that we are just human beings with our own limitations. God, however, still loves us and wants to give us salvation (John 3:16).

2. Christmas reminds us that through Christ miracles exist and that changes in life may take place (2 Corinthians 5:7).

3. Christmas also reminds us that in Christ the power of our God Almighty is upon us and it dwells in our lives. Therefore, what is not possible will become possible (John 14:16-17, 26).

  CONCLUSION

Let the Holy Spirit overshadow us at this Christmas Celebration, so that miraculous experiences (breakthrough and expansion) will take place in our lives. And we will give testimonies to others (Acts 1:8).
