Congregation Weekend in Center Parcs de Eemhof

Here we are again back at CenterParcs De Eemhof! While the last Weekend Retreat of 2006 is still sharp on our mind, the Weekend Retreat 2010 of our church FMC has already come. Halleluya, praise the Lord!

On Friday evening 27 May our coach finally arrives at De Eemhof. Each family rushes moving into the bungalow that is assigned to them. After unpacking the opening ceremony is about to take place at the Business Center inside the park. The theme of this year’s Retreat is, as you may know, “Progress”.

The weather is fine. So you don’t need to tell the kids and young folk what to do: taking a good plunge into the fabulous tropical pool Aqua Mundo, crisscrossing the park on their bike, hurling a bowling ball or playing some arcade games at the bustling Action Factory.

Next to participants from our parent church FMC Delft there are folks from our Dutch satellites and also from NLC London. At the Saturday night service our senior pastors Victor and Vivie encourage and reaffirm leadership of the leaders and co-workers of the whole of FMC.

It is for sure a beautiful sight to see how brothers and sisters of the whole church come together and live like a warm happy family. It reminds us on the following verse from Psalms 133:1, “How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity!”
